Book Review: The Da Vinci Code
I picked this book up because 1) I need to buy books so that I can reach the RM200 quota to qualify for the MPH Reader's Card and 2) I noticed that it has been sitting on top of the MPH best sellers list for a few weeks. So i guess it must be pretty good.
The book tells of the story of how a prominent museum curator is murdered, and how an American symbologist, Robert Langdon, and a French police cryptographer, Sophie Neveu goes from Paris to London to solve the riddle that the dead man left behind, all the while trying to escape the police, as they are suspected for the murder of the man. I find this book quite an interesting read. To me, it incorporated some history lessons in between some action sequences between the 2 main characters and the mystery they try to solve the riddle. But because of the detailed description on some of the arts and histories, the pace of the action is actually quite slow, and I doubt this book can be made into a movie at all.

I finished this book some time ago, it's a very interesting read to me as I'm always interested in religions history. If you are a very religous christian, better don't read it. As what Kenny mentioned, it really challenges your faith.
By the way, someone is going to make a movie for it, rumours is that they will get Russell Crowe for the role of Robert Langdon. I personally think Nicholas Cage fits perfectly for the role. And they can get Penelope Cruz for Sophie Neveu and who fits the role of Bezu Fache others than Jean Reno, he's a french guy after all.
Anyway, it's a good book to read, go for it.
