Is it a book store or a library?

For quite some time, I noticed that most friends around me don't really read, it felt quite discouraging when I was very excited with a new book I just read but had nobody to share my thoughts with. But recently, I found that there are some friends who like to read too, it feels wonderful to talk about books among friends, eventhough we read totally different books. A big thanks to Fay and Kennyg about this. By the way, Janice, when are you getting the book you mentioned from Kennyg? Hahaha.

Ok, back to the topic, last Saturday, after a tokok lunch with donkey and colleague at bukit bintang, I went over to Borders BTS for some books and reading. They got a Starbucks inside the bookstore, which let the guests to have a nice place for some coffee and reading session. So I spent my whole afternoon reading and drinking at this Starbucks. But one thing I noticed was that most people will like to grab a big stack of magazines or books, put them on the table, and read for free. Hmm, the place looks more like a library than a bookstore this way, I think they should buy the books instead of reading whole day for free there, it's supposed to be a bookstore right?

Janice, FYI... alone time is right. I've been alone all the time at home. Glad Paul will be back this weekend. Hahaha.

Anyway, will pass you the book ASAP. It's in my car anyway.

Stan, you are right about Borders BTS being a library. I was there last weekend, and I felt I was in a library. The way the books was arranged in the shelf, is so much like a library. It doesn't help for people like me who like to browse and look at interesting covers of books. Still prefer Midvalley's MPH.

Just finished 'Tuesday with Morrie' recently, a really good book to read if you found that you have lost something over the years of working in this fucked up world.

If you liked "Tuesday with Morrie" you can try reading "5 People You Meet in Heaven" by the same author. That is another very inspiring story.

But of course Dan Brown's Da Vinci Code is a must-read.

Wow, another anonymous, hello mr/ms anonymous, thanks for dropping by. :)
"5 people you meet in heaven" is the next book I'm going to get. As for Da Vinci Code, I finished it about a year ago, indeed a good book, we have a good review by Kenny somewhere in the blog archieve, perhaps you can check it out.
Dan Brown is getting sued for copying the idea from another author recently. Even the movie production, which is starred by Tom Hanks, might be affected by this case. Anyhow, no matter he's copying or not, I will buy the idea as long as it's a good idea and it's not repeated.

I bought a copy of "The Curious Incident of The Dog In The Night Time". It was an award winner, but unfortunately, I find it tedious to flip through its pages.

I had thought it was supposed to be a mystery kind of book. But it's not. It's like a memoir, of an austistic 15-years-old boy. He detailed his thoughts and emotions (lots of thoughts, but little on emotions - the trade of an austistic) in the book as he goes through his life. It is a great book, I'm sure, that gives you an insight of the world from the viewpoint of an austistic teenager, but it's just too slow paced and tedious for me.

If you like fantasy(my favourite book genre), you can try 'The Wheel of Time' series. The series consist of ten books, and it's not finish yet. I've been following the series for more than 10 years and have read the first 7 books twice. If you are not shocked by the length of the series and interested in exploring something new, we can share books of course.
